After months of leaks and speculation, Meizu 22 is finally official, and it’s launching in China on September 15. The brand confirmed the flagship will debut at its Zhuhai headquarters, and it’s bringing more than just specs to the table. With high-end internals, AI optimization, and an eye-catching design, the Meizu 22 is shaping up to be one of the most distinct Android flagships of 2025.

The phone features a 6.32-inch 2.5D slightly curved display, which Meizu calls the “golden balance” between screen space and pocketability. The bezels are just 0.8mm on all sides, creating a fully symmetrical front. Plus, it’s the only flagship currently offering a white bezel panel, giving it a standout look in a sea of black rectangles.

The body weighs 190g, measures 8.15mm thick, and is just 71mm wide, making it comfortable to grip without sacrificing screen real estate.

iPhone 17 Pro leak teases 8x zoom and serious cooling upgrades

iPhone 17 Pro leak hints at 8x optical zoom, vapor chamber cooling, and 8K video, Apple might be going all-in on performance.

Under the hood, the Meizu 22 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, with tuning specifically geared toward mobile gaming. The device includes Meizu’s AI-based One Mind optimization engine, as well as TÜV Rheinland’s 72-month fluency certification, promising long-term performance without degradation.

To keep things cool, Meizu installed a 4,500mm² vapor chamber, one of the largest in any phone of this size. That’s designed to handle extended gaming or multitasking sessions without heat throttling.

Photography gets serious attention here, too. The Meizu 22 comes loaded with 50MP sensors across the board yes, front and back. Here’s the full camera setup:

The phone also offers new AI imaging tools, including one-click filter extraction and other automatic visual enhancements designed to simplify pro-level editing.

The Meizu 22 isn’t just about raw specs, it’s also about how it feels. It introduces a floating back cover, a 3D curved rear, and a uniform design that aims to deliver better comfort during daily use. The company has clearly gone to great lengths to stand out visually and ergonomically.

With its launch just days away, Meizu 22 looks ready to punch above its weight in both design and performance. Whether it lives up to that promise will come down to real-world results but on paper, it’s got all the right ingredients.
