Mercedes is introducing a new service that will offer its users the pleasure of in-car cinema. In collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment, Mercedes will offer an in-car movie experience with the RIDEVU service. RIDEVU is available in Mercedes’ premium vehicles for users with a subscription to the MBUX Entertainment Package Plus and can be used on up to six screens simultaneously.

Mercedes users can now create a RIDEVU account and access a large catalog of movies via the app integrated into their car. The movies are constantly updated, so there’s no chance of missing out on new releases. Moreover, they will not only be able to watch, but also rent or buy movies.
RIDEVU is not limited to watching movies. The large screens, which offer HD quality video in particular, offer a very good picture quality for both front and rear passengers. In addition, the system, which is also supported by the high-end Burmester surround 4D and 3D sound systems, gives the feeling of a movie theater.
Currently available in Germany, the UK and Ireland, RIDEVU works in Mercedes vehicles with the second-generation MBUX system. Magnus Östberg, Head of Software at Mercedes, says that RIDEVU takes in-car entertainment one step further.
