Meta had a launch event on October 11, Meta Connect 2022. The company launched many new things, from Among Us VR to new improvements in Avatars. Meta announced that a new VR device “Meta Quest Pro” will be available this month, and new applications like Xbox Cloud Gaming, and more at the Connect event. Meta launches new improvements for VR technology
At the event, the company launched a new device for VR technology. Meta explains that the device is designed for productivity, creative work, and collaboration. The Meta Quest Pro will be available on October 25 while it costs $1499,99. The device will have 2GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and 10 high-res sensors. In addition, it has %37 more pixels per inch than Meta Quest 2.
Meta also announced a few things about the VR games. The Among Us VR will be available on Meta Quest 2 and Steam VR on November 10. While the game costs $9.99, it will offer the tasks, killing, and accusations from the first-person perspective.
Iron Man VR is also one of the coming VR games. The game will be available on Quest 2 on November 3. There are also other coming VR games such as Resident Evil 4 VR, The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners: Chapter 2 Retribution, and Behemoth. Thanks to Meta’s VR devices, you will be able to play these games.
The company also brings innovation to the META world. Thanks to the new update, avatars will be available for video calls on Instagram and WhatsApp. According to the announcements, the avatars will also have legs anymore.
