Meta Quest 3 features and price!
In an announcement made in June, Meta shared that it was working on Meta Quest 3 . Thereupon, he gave some information about the device. However, many rumors have emerged about Meta’s new standalone VR headset.
Following all these rumors and claims, Meta Quest 3 is officially on sale. Apple Vision Pro rival Quest 3 is powered by a Snapdragon XR2 processor developed with Qualcomm. However, the new chipset is expected to offer more than twice the performance of the previous Quest 2 model.
On the other hand, Meta also made some changes to the screen for long-term use. Thus, Quest 3 comes with 40 percent thinner optics than the previous model. This means that it will provide lighter and more comfortable glasses to use.
In addition, the company also redesigned the controllers called Touch Plus . This advancement in hand tracking technology allows the removal of outer rings. In this way, controllers will take up less space in users’ hands.
The Quest 3 has a display of 2064×2208 pixels per eye, compared to the Quest 2’s 1832×1920 pixels per eye . This means twice as fast graphics performance. Additionally, Meta added an adjustability feature to the header. Instead of the Quest 2’s manual lens adjustment, it now has a focusing wheel that lets you adjust the distance between lenses while wearing the headset .
The device is quite surprising in terms of price. The 128 GB base model of Meta Quest 3 is available for $499 . The 512 GB model of the device is available at $649 .
