Meta has rolled out a significant update to its Ray-Ban smart glasses, introducing live translation capabilities and expanding the reach of its Meta AI assistant. This enhancement allows users to engage in real-time conversations across English, French, Italian, and Spanish, with translations delivered directly through the glasses’ audio system.

Initially part of Meta’s Early Access Program, the live translation feature is now accessible to all users in markets where the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are sold. Users can download language packs in advance, enabling offline translation—a convenient option for travelers without constant internet access.

Meta has also unveiled new color combinations for the Ray-Ban Meta Skyler frames, including shiny chalky gray with sapphire Transitions lenses and shiny black with clear or green tints, offering users more style options.

With these updates, Meta continues to enhance the functionality of its smart glasses, aiming to provide users with a more seamless and interactive experience. The company plans to launch the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in additional markets, including Mexico, India, and the UAE, though specific release dates have not been announced.
