Metroid Prime 4: Beyond just got faster and louder. Nintendo has officially revealed fresh info about Vi-O-La, a Lamorn-engineered motorcycle that’s about to change how Samus moves and fights across the planet Viewros.

Vi-O-La isn’t just for getting from A to B. In select areas of Viewros, Samus can summon the red, high-speed bike, which is directly linked to her suit. Once on board, players can activate a set of aggressive traversal mechanics built for exploration and combat.

Nintendo confirmed that summoning Vi-O-La is area-specific. When you leave the bike, gameplay shifts seamlessly back into the traditional first-person view, something Destiny 2 fans might recognize from its Sparrow system.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 beta extended with new multiplayer map

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 open beta gets a surprise extension with a brand-new map, more XP boosts, and one more day of free multiplayer action.

On Vi-O-La, Samus can do more than just ride. Nintendo’s latest blog post outlined key features that bring this vehicle to life:

These abilities give Metroid Prime 4: Beyond an extra layer of vertical and horizontal mobility and a heavy dose of spectacle.

To mark the introduction of Vi-O-La, Nintendo will release a premium Amiibo of Samus riding the motorcycle. Priced at $39.99, the figure launches November 6.

A standard Sylux Amiibo is also on the way, releasing alongside Metroid Prime 4: Beyond on December 4 for $29.99.

Nintendo remains tight-lipped about major story beats. So far, all we know is that Samus is stranded on Viewros, a planet once touched by the ancient Lamorn civilization. Their lost technology, including Vi-O-La, appears central to the game’s mysteries.

Sylux returns as the main antagonist, though his motives remain unknown.

Despite earlier leaks and speculation, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond remains locked in for its December 4, 2025 launch on Nintendo Switch 2. Additional Amiibo are planned for the rollout, though some physical editions may slip early, as seen with previous Nintendo releases.

Speed. Firepower. Lore. This one’s not just back, it’s burning rubber.
