In the screenshot shared by a Windows 11 user, it is seen that there is an advertisement for the Opera browser in the “Recommended” section of the Start menu. The ad is marked with a special sign that reads “Promotion”. Thus, it becomes clear that it is an advertisement.

According to the information provided, users will have the option to disable this advertisement. So it can be turned off via Settings. This is an important detail that shows that freedom is offered in terms of user experience.
