ChatGPT-4 supported Bing announces its new ads!

Ana sayfa / News

With the recent advancements in artificial intelligence, Microsoft’s search engine Bing has broken company records in popularity and user numbers. Now, Microsoft has started placing ads in its answer system through Bing to earn more revenue.

Microsoft has started showing ads on the Bing chatbot!

The new Microsoft Bing ,which is supported by the GPT-4 (most popular AI system of recent times), has a cleaner interface for ads compared to traditional browsers. In fact, we hardly see ads next to search results.

Of course, ads appearing in search engines have become a familiar and non-intrusive structure for many of us. Companies offering us these browsers for free earn money this way. However, Microsoft has started using an advertising system on Bing that we haven’t seen before.

Microsoft warns about Bing chatbot

Microsoft informed its partners that they can't use Bing search results in AI products that are in direct competition with Bing Chatbot.

According to recent user reports, Bing uses advertising links in sentence form when answering the user’s question. For example, when you ask for the price of an iPhone 14, it also offers an advertising link that will redirect you to the relevant site.

Currently, we see that this advertising model is not working very stably. There may be link-advertising shares with improper link transfer and completely unrelated redirects to the topic. After this issue, Microsoft made a statement saying that they are working on a chatbot that will open a pop-up to provide more information or quotes when navigating links. Both to provide more traffic to advertising companies and to enhance user experience.
