Microsoft harshly criticized Apple’s 30 percent commission on in-app purchases. The company, which made statements in the investigation conducted by the UK’s competition agency, thinks that Apple has a monopoly in mobile app stores.

In its latest letter to the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), Microsoft has spoken out about Apple’s in-app purchase fee. It said the 30 percent commission was neither economically sustainable nor justifiable.

He said that Apple does not contribute to purchasing, discoverability or accessibility. So the company thinks the 30 percent cut makes it impossible to monetize cloud gaming services on iOS.

Microsoft argues that Apple’s dominance in the distribution of iOS apps continues without competition. In other words, since there is no different app store on iOS devices, it is not possible to compete with a 30 percent commission.
