Microsoft Bing hits 100 million users thanks to AI chatbot

Ana sayfa / News

Microsoft has invested heavily in the ChatGPT system by OpenAI. Microsoft, as you know, is now in front of us with the new Bing search engine, which includes a chatbot that uses the same basis as ChatGPT. The company, which prepared a waiting list for those who want to test this system, made a sound when it started to open it for users in the past weeks.

Bing’s chatbot works well to attract users

According to the statement made today, Bing has surpassed 100 million daily users for the first time in its history. This is a big achievement for the service, which has never been ahead of its rival Google. Microsoft also said today that a significant number of users who are part of the Bing Chat preview use the chatbot on a daily basis. It also added that there have been 45 million chats since the launch.

Bing had previously come to the agenda with an update, after which a response style setting was introduced to the chatbot. You can now customize the chatbot to give more creative, more balanced, or more precise answers. This option, which was added directly to the home page, looks good for changing the type of responses. According to the statement, Microsoft has set the default setting for the Bing chatbot to balanced mode, which balances accuracy and creativity.

One of the issues that came to the agenda for Bing in the past weeks was some of the answers it gave to users. It was claimed that Bing insulted users, told lies, behaved negatively, and emotionally manipulated people through its answers to the questions asked. Making statements on this issue, Microsoft stated that the problems and harsh language seen in the first week will be resolved over time. Acknowledging that the bot started to lose control especially after 15 or more questions, the company introduced a limit on this very issue. So, Microsoft decided to limit the number of questions per day to 5.
