Microsoft brings ChatGPT to SwiftKey after Bing!

Ana sayfa / Technology

Microsoft’s popular keyboard application, SwiftKey, which predicts the next word Android and iOS users will write using artificial intelligence and offers features such as swipe typing, voice typing, emoji prediction, and multilingual support, is integrating with the ChatGPT-powered Microsoft Bing chatbot.

SwiftKey gets even smarter with ChatGPT integration!

SwiftKey uses machine learning, or artificial intelligence, to learn the user’s typing style and personalize predictions, which greatly contributes to faster and more accurate predictions. Additionally, it offers theme and customization options to make the keyboard visually appealing.

Of course, this application was not developed by Microsoft. After reaching great popularity, it was acquired for $250 million seven years ago in 2016. However, it continued to work as an independent application and retained its brand name.

Apple’s big acquisition plans: A myth?

Exploring the possibilities and reasons behind Apple's conservative approach to acquisitions, despite its massive cash reserves.

But this situation will end in the coming days. Microsoft has started to intervene directly in the application’s development. In the first step, it will integrate the ChatGPT-4-supported chatbot to SwiftKey to some extent.

As of today, Beta users of the Android SwiftKey application can access the chatbot by touching a button on the keys. Moreover, this integration not only provides one-click access to the chatbot but also allows users to improve their text messages by enabling them to write in different tones. When it will come to the iOS application remains unclear, but it is expected to come this month as the company is already feeling the pressure.
