Ana sayfa / News

Technology giant Microsoft has officially closed all its physical stores in the Chinese market. The renowned company has left all its sales operations in China to regional sales partners and online stores. Microsoft has decided to manage its own website in China through different sales representatives. According to these reports, the company has officially ended its retail presence in the Chinese market.

Following global market changes and strategic differences, Microsoft has decided to focus on online sales channels instead of physical stores in China. The company, which has closed all its physical stores across China, will continue to operate in other areas such as software and cloud services. Therefore, it should be noted that Microsoft has not completely withdrawn from the Chinese and Asian markets.

Microsoft first entered the Chinese market in 1992. Since then, the company has achieved significant market share in China with products like the Windows operating system and the Office software package. However, in recent years, the Chinese government’s policy of supporting local technology companies and increasing competition has made it difficult for Microsoft to maintain its position in the market.

Microsoft is distributing free Forza Horizon 4 codes

After Microsoft decided to remove Forza Horizon 4 from the store, they decided to distribute game codes to players.

Additionally, it should be noted that this decision is not unique to China. In 2020, Microsoft decided to close many retail stores globally. The company adopted a strategy focusing on digital sales channels and cloud services. The closure of stores in China is seen as part of this global strategy. In this sense, physical stores in several other countries may also be closed in the new era.
