Microsoft has stepped up its AI game in recent months. At the Surface 2023 event, it unveiled its new artificial intelligence tool called Microsoft Copilot. The tool, which will be used in different areas from Windows 11 to Edge and Bing, is described as “your daily AI companion”.
What does Microsoft Copilot promise?
Microsoft unveiled Copilot, its new AI assistant for 365 subscribers. It will be available in Windows 11, Microsoft Edge, Bing and Microsoft 365 apps. Copilot support will be added to Windows 11 with the 23H2 update on September 26.
The new update will bring more than 150 features to Windows 11. Paint will now support AI-based background removal and Cocreator, a generative AI tool. The Photos app will have the ability to blur backgrounds with a single click.
365 apps as a virtual assistant, helping users summarize documents, compose emails, create new Word files and even summarize Teams meetings.
Bing will also get its share of artificial intelligence. Bing Image Creator, which allows image creation on the Edge, has been integrated into OpenAI’s new DALL-E 3. Bing will also offer personalized search results and an AI-based shopping experience.
The tech giant will launch Copilot for Microsoft 365 users on November 1. However, it should be noted that business and corporate 365 subscribers will be charged an additional $ 30 per month.
