Microsoft brought a definitive solution to the CrowdStrike problem with its new recovery tool

As a business-focused security program, CrowdStrike is designed to protect organizations from data breaches. However, a recent update caused blue screen errors (BSOD) on many computers worldwide.

Microsoft released a recovery tool to fix this problem. While CrowdStrike has its own update available, some companies have yet to receive it and must manually resolve issues. This new tool from Microsoft returns affected computers to normal by automating the manual method.

Microsoft stated some prerequisites for using the recovery tool. First, a Windows 64-bit client with at least 8GB of free space is needed. This client will be used to create the bootable USB drive.

You also need to have administrative privileges on the Windows client. It is important that the USB drive used for the recovery tool has a capacity of at least 1GB and that all existing data will be deleted. For BitLocker-enabled devices, the BitLocker recovery key must also be available.
