Microsoft has put an end to Windows 11 ads!

Ana sayfa / News

Microsoft has backtracked on the ads it shows on Windows 10 and Windows 11 after criticism from users. The company, which is trying to transition Windows 10 users to the next generation operating system, could not withstand the latest reactions.

Earlier this year, Microsoft started sending notifications to Windows 10 Pro and Pro Workstation PCs to upgrade to Windows 11. Offering users a “free upgrade”, the company promised to upgrade the operating system with a single button.

The Windows 11 ads featured “Yes” buttons and the option to stay on Windows 10 with a small link in the corner. But this planning seems to have annoyed many Windows 10 users.

MSI Unveils Performance Enhancement Mode for AMD Ryzen 9000 Series

MSI has announced the PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) Enhancement Mode specifically for the AMD Ryzen 9000 series.

In response to the backlash, Microsoft updated its initial announcement. Accordingly, it confirmed that it will no longer show ads through monthly security updates. However, the company is still sending notifications to some devices, aiming to transition them to the new operating system over time.

In this context, Microsoft will share a new timeline for Windows 11 deployment in the coming months. It will also switch to a less obtrusive structure in terms of advertising. So far, it has not been revealed how this new timeline will be determined.

It is important to remember that Windows 10 still has more than a year of support and the Extended Security Updates program, but Microsoft is trying to get users to Windows 11 despite this period.
