Microsoft continues to add AI applications to its operating systems. Following the popularity of ChatGPT, Microsoft just announced its AI-supported personal assistant, Windows Copilot. Here are the initial details about Windows Copilot…

The new personal assistant of Windows 11: Windows Copilot!

Microsoft has begun to keep pace with the AI trend, inspired by the popularity of ChatGPT. In this context, they announced Windows Copilot. Windows Copilot can be considered an assistant replacing Cortana, which was a trend for a time but was then forgotten. The system will be integrated into Windows 11 as a personal assistant.

Windows Copilot will be located right next to the search bar in Windows 11. It will also be accessible from the taskbar in all applications. It was also mentioned that for users who split their screen between applications, the Windows Copilot application will stably occupy a portion of the split screen. In short, it will not obstruct you when you are using multiple applications.

Windows Copilot will be able to summarize, rewrite, and even explain the content you open in applications. The Copilot, which looks a lot like the Bing chat application in general, will be able to answer general content questions you ask by searching like a search engine.

Copilot, which will be directly integrated into Windows 11, will not have its own search bar. It will have a button right next to the “Search” bar in the normal Windows layout. As soon as you press the Copilot button, the “Search” bar will start to be used for Copilot.

Features from ChatGPT and Bing will also be included!

Windows Copilot is actually built on Bing foundations. Therefore, developers will be able to add features from Bing and ChatGPT as plugins to Copilot. Of course, this also means that future improvements and new features made to Bing and ChatGPT will automatically be defined for Copilot as well.

Microsoft will integrate Copilot into Windows 11. However, initially, they will allow all users to test it in open beta form in the coming June. After the testing process, Copilot will be fully integrated into Windows 11 in either the last quarter of 2023 or the first quarter of 2024.
