In a recent interview, Microsoft made important announcements about the future of Xbox. Xbox president Sarah Bond announced that Microsoft promises to deliver “the biggest technical leap ever seen in a generation of hardware” on the next-generation Xbox.
Actively working on the next-generation Xbox
Sarah Bond also revealed that work is actively underway on the next generation Xbox console. In addition to introducing the hardware that will make the leap, Bond also shared plans for more console and controller options to be introduced during the upcoming holiday season.
Microsoft Gaming boss Phil Spencer echoed Bond’s sentiments, saying that the company will increase ongoing investment in Xbox hardware. Spencer expressed pride in the work of the hardware team and emphasized that Microsoft is committed to the future, not just the current year
Last year’s leaks revealed potential products for 2024, including a refreshed version of the Xbox Series X and a new controller with replaceable batteries. Spencer addressed these rumors, noting that much has changed since then. Spencer’s statement did not give specific details about upcoming hardware releases.
The leaks from last year appear to be true, as Microsoft is preparing to launch new controllers this summer. There are no details about the refurbished Xbox Series X.
There were also no clear details about the next generation of Xbox consoles. Only the biggest technical leap is used. What do you think? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section.
