Microsoft Paint, which has been in our lives since Microsoft Windows 1.0 and has been functioning for almost 40 years, has started to gain new generation features by keeping up with the times. For the famous application, new features supported by artificial intelligence are now coming.
Microsoft Paint will make Photoshop look like Photoshop
Microsoft is preparing to introduce remarkable features for its new AI-powered Paint and Photos applications for Copilot Plus PCs. These new tools aim to reduce visual creators’ reliance on Adobe Photoshop and similar more powerful image editing software.
Adobe Photoshop-inspired ‘Generative Fill’ and ‘Generative Erase’ features are being integrated into Microsoft Paint. These tools allow users to add objects of their choice to their images or easily remove existing objects.
These new features aim to simplify image editing and provide a user-friendly experience. A size-adjustable brush allows users to select areas of the image to edit. In addition, the ‘Generative Erase’ feature has the ability to erase unwanted figures, background clutter and other distracting objects.
Reminiscent of the ‘Magic Eraser’ feature on Google’s Pixel phones, this tool makes it possible to clear the background with a simple brush movement. ‘Generative Fill’ allows users to add new AI-generated visual assets with text descriptions to the area of their choice. This feature is almost like the tool of the same name in Photoshop…
Microsoft’s new AI-powered tools aim to significantly simplify the visual editing process while helping users produce creative projects more easily and quickly. The new Paint features are being rolled out to users in a series of updates.
