Microsoft has announced a major update to its AI assistant Copilot, including a more modern user interface and improved image editing features. This update to Copilot for Android and iOS makes AI more useful.
What’s new in the Microsoft Copilot
Officially launched last month after more than a year of testing, Copilot is a GPT-4-based chatbot. It allows users to have natural conversations to create images and other content. According to Microsoft, Copilot has mediated more than 5 billion conversations and created more than 5 billion images.
The update, which became available this week, introduces a new interface adapted for mobile devices. According to Microsoft, the revamped look will allow users to more easily utilize Copilot.
An important innovation for the AI assistant is that the Designer tool is now available directly on the home page. Users will now be able to customize created images by resizing them, adding text or other elements. It will also be possible to recreate the design without leaving the chat.
This support was previously only available to paid Copilot Pro subscribers. Pro users could change aspect ratios between square and landscape formats.
The changes reflect Microsoft’s ambitions for Copilot and artificial intelligence. The hardware giant aims to offer a much more advanced chatbot than Google Assistant and Siri. Copilot is available for free.
