Microsoft Store has been completely revamped!

Ana sayfa / News

Microsoft has made radical changes to its digital application store, Microsoft Store, which has been criticized by users for a long time. The platform, which has been serving Windows 10 and 11 users since 2012, has been completely renewed in terms of both interface and infrastructure with the latest update.

Many innovations such as artificial intelligence-supported personalization systems, a smarter search experience and tighter integration with the Windows operating system have been added to the platform. The first noticeable change in the updated store was the home page structure shaped according to users’ interests.

Thanks to this system, for example, users who are interested in game content encounter suggestions about games when they enter the Store. On the other hand, an interface where developer tools and productivity applications are highlighted is offered for users interested in professional software. Microsoft describes this new store structure as the “AI marketplace”.

Microsoft Store’s search system, which has been criticized for a long time, also received its share of the update. The new search infrastructure is based on criteria such as the up-to-dateness of applications, user ratings and the system language of the person searching.

This way, users can access the applications they are looking for faster and more accurately. In addition, Windows’ artificial intelligence-based assistant Copilot has become available in the Store. However, this integration was initially activated only for users in the US.

The innovations are not limited to this. Microsoft has integrated the Store directly into the Windows operating system. Now, users can search for applications via the Start menu and start installations directly from this menu.

While this change aims to speed up the store experience, it also has the potential to create confusion for some users. Because until now, the Start menu was mostly used to manage applications installed on the system.

So what do you think about these innovations? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
