Microsoft withdraws controversial Windows 11 update!

Ana sayfa / News

Microsoft is working on many innovations with the Windows 11 24H2 update. The AI-focused 24H2 release is currently available for testing through the Windows Insider program. However, the company started pulling the first preview of 24H2 just days after releasing it.

The Microsoft team has announced that it has stopped distributing the Windows 11 24H2 update. In a blog post, they confirmed that they are working to make it available again soon. However, it did not share why the release was canceled.

Users who downloaded the 24H2 preview reported many issues. Postings to Microsoft’s feedback center reported many issues, including app freezes, performance degradation, and VPN connectivity.

Many users participating in the Windows Insider program have commented on the issue. They called it the “worst release preview” on ARM-based Windows devices. This appears to follow Microsoft’s 2018 update to Windows 10, which wiped out the data.

Release preview updates are available to beta users. That is, they are downloaded by users who want to test features in future versions in advance. However, reports revealed that version 24H2 was unstable even for the test group.

Microsoft has decided to halt the Windows 11 24H2 update until the issues are fixed. Performance issues seem inevitable as bigger features become available.
