A number of new documents have emerged in the ongoing Activision-Blizzard case between the FTC and Microsoft. This document, which decodes Sony’s plans for the PlayStation 5 series, reveals a relatively affordable PS5 Slim version. Microsoft also revealed the console’s release date.

$399 PS5 Slim may arrive this year

Microsoft has filed documents with the FTC showing that the PS5 Slim model will be released soon. This version, whose technical specifications are not specified, will have a price tag of 399 dollars. According to Microsoft, it will be available later this year.

The file also suggests that a handheld version of the PlayStation 5 is in development. The handheld console, which will provide access to the PS5 console via Wi-Fi, will allow players to play PlayStation 5 games from anywhere.

Release dates revealed for PlayStation 6 and new Xbox!

Microsoft, in the case where it faced the Federal Trade Commission, revealed the expected release dates for the new Xbox and PlayStation 6.

Although these claims have not yet been officially confirmed by Sony, they seem to be in line with what the company is working on. The company was rumoured to be offering a PS5 with a removable disc drive in September.

The price of $399 seems to be controversial. It should be noted that the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition is already on sale for this price, but it does not have disc support. In other words, you will only be able to play games with the Digital Edition via digital stores such as the PlayStation Store.

On the other hand, we would like to remind you that at the PlayStation Showcase held in recent months, Sony unveiled a device called Project Q. This device, which is not a separate console like the Steam Deck or the Nintendo Switch, allows you to play your games on PlayStation 5.
