Xiaomi is preparing to revitalize the Redmi Turbo series. According to new reports out of China, the company is gearing up for the Redmi Turbo 4. It is preparing to bring an unreleased POCO model to some markets under the Redmi brand. Here are the details.
What does Redmi Turbo 4 promise?
According to the news in Gizmochina, Xiaomi is working on a new version of the Redmi Turbo 3 model. Recent leaks have revealed that it will be the Redmi Turbo 4, a mid-range device that will be launched as the POCO F7. The refurbished model was recently spotted in the IMEI database with the model number “2412DRT0AC”.
Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO is expected to introduce the same device in May as the POCO F7. It should be noted that this model is also registered with the code name “2412DPC0AG” for the global market and “2412DPC0AI” for the Indian market.
In terms of specifications, the Redmi Turbo 4 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8S Gen 4 chipset. It is expected to come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Given the recent launch of the Redmi Turbo 3 and the POCO F6, both smartphones may not debut until 2025.
As a reminder, the Redmi Turbo 3 comes with a 6.67-inch OLED display. Offering 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, this display has a peak brightness of 2400 nits. It also features Dolby Vision and HDR10+ technologies and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
