Miyoo Mini Flip handheld nears release with four launch colors

Ana sayfa / News

The Miyoo Mini Flip is finally edging closer to release after months of silence. First teased back in the spring, this pocket-sized clamshell retro handheld has now surfaced in live photos across four color options, signaling that a global launch is just around the corner.

Unlike the larger Miyoo Flip, the Miyoo Mini Flip is designed to be compact. It reportedly uses the same 2.8-inch IPS display from the Miyoo Mini V4, delivering a 640 × 480 resolution in a classic 4:3 ratio. By contrast, the original Flip sports a bigger 3.5-inch panel with the same resolution, making the Mini Flip noticeably more pocketable.

Under the hood, it’s expected to feature the familiar ARM Cortex-A7 dual-core chipset with 128 MB of RAM. That makes it modest compared to premium handhelds, but more than capable of handling classic retro libraries.

Pico-Pal retro handheld revives Game Boy Color vibes with modern tech

Pico-Pal is a Game Boy Color-style handheld with a 1:1 IPS screen, RP2350B chip, and Wi-Fi, launching soon on Crowd Supply.

Recent leaks show the Miyoo Mini Flip in four launch colors, though exact names haven’t been confirmed. The choices echo the playful aesthetic of other Miyoo devices, balancing nostalgia with modern charm.

So far, Miyoo has not announced a firm launch date or pricing details for the it. Given its scaled-down specs, it’s likely to sit below the standard Miyoo Flip in cost, positioning it as a budget-friendly option for retro handheld fans who prefer portability.

With clamshell handheld releases slowing this year, the Miyoo Mini Flip looks set to give enthusiasts a fresh compact option—without breaking the bank.
