Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro Expected Prices and Features
Following the launch of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro are expected to be the first phone series powered by this processor, potentially launching in the last week of October. Last year, the Xiaomi 14 series was introduced at a price of 3,999 yen, approximately $565. However, according to the leaks, the new series will see a price increase.
The starting prices of the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro, which are expected to be at least 500 yen more expensive, have been revealed. According to reports, the Xiaomi 15 will be priced at 4,599 yen, or around $650, while the starting price for the Pro model will be 5,499 yen, roughly $775.
The main reason for this price increase is said to be global rises in processor and storage costs. Additionally, the expectation that TSMC’s N3E chip will be used in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 has raised production costs, leading to an approximate 25% price hike compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Looking at the features, the Xiaomi 15 series will come with wider cameras, telephoto macro sensors, an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, a glass body, a silicon battery, wireless fast charging, IP68 dust and water resistance, and a 1.5K resolution display.
