It is exciting news that gameplay footage of Mortal Kombat 1 has been released during this year’s Summer Game Fest. The gameplay video showcases the facial expressions of the characters, various fighting mechanics, and the highly anticipated FATALITY segments. The improved character animations indicate that the game places more emphasis on storytelling compared to previous installments.
With Mortal Kombat 1, the developers aim to reboot the series by highlighting different aspects of the iconic characters. The game introduces a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe created by the Fire God Liu Kang, featuring previously unseen versions of the characters.
Mortal Kombat 1 is set to release on September 19, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Players who pre-order the game for PS5 or Xbox Series X/S will gain access to the beta test scheduled for August.
