MSI is preparing to strengthen its position in the portable console market with two new devices, Claw 8 AI+ and Claw 7 AI+.Powered by Intel Lunar Lake processors, the consoles aim to provide an on-the-go gaming experience with their artificial intelligence features.
MSI Claw 8 AI+ and Claw 7 AI+ features and price
MSI’s most powerful handheld console, the Claw 8 AI+ comes with an 8-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate and 500 nits brightness. Powered by Core Ultra 7 258V or 256V processor and Intel’s Arc 140V GPU, the device comes with 32GB LPDDR5X-8533 RAM option.
On the other hand, it will be powered by an 80Wh battery and weigh 794 grams. Claw 7 AI+ offers a smaller 7-inch screen, but is powered by the Lunar Lake processor. It will also appeal to different needs by offering 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5X memory options.
Both handheld consoles feature dual Thunderbolt 4 ports for external displays and high-speed peripherals. These devices, which are expected to be officially announced in December, are expected to rival models such as ROG Ally and Steam Deck.
The starting price for the 32GB Claw 7 AI+, which will be released on 1 December, will be around $799, and the 32GB Claw 8 AI+, which will arrive in late December, will be around $899.
