MSI is set to unveil an updated version of its powerful Titan GT77 laptop at CES 2023. The new model will feature a 17.3-inch 4K Mini LED 144Hz display, which MSI claims is a world first. The display is manufactured by Taiwan’s AUO and promises super-bright backlighting, high dynamic range (HDR) performance, and a wide color gamut. It has a maximum brightness of 1000 nits, is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified, and supports a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. The display also has a 3ms response time and 1008 dimming zones for improved contrast.

In addition to the upgraded display, it is expected that the new Titan GT77 will also feature a more powerful CPU and GPU. It is likely that the laptop will include one of Intel’s new Raptor Lake CPUs, as well as an Nvidia Ada Lovelace architecture RTX 40 series GPU. While MSI has not yet revealed the full specifications of the new laptop, it is expected to be a high-end, top-of-the-line model aimed at gamers and power users.
The existing MSI Titan GT77, which we reviewed earlier this year, is available for $3,999 at Amazon. While it is not yet known how much the new model with the 4K Mini LED 144Hz display will cost, it is likely to be a premium product for those willing to pay for the best performance and features. We’ll have to wait until CES 2023 for the full details of the new MSI Titan GT77, but it’s certainly an exciting development in the world of gaming laptops.
