MSI’s update that skyrockets AMD processor performance!

Ana sayfa / News

MSI has released a BIOS update for AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series processors with a TDP of 65W that will skyrocket performance. The new update provides a significant increase in performance by increasing the default power limit of the processors. The update, which offers a major performance boost especially for those using processors such as the Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X, brings a feature called “TDP to 105W”.

MSI Announces New BIOS Update for Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs That Boost Performance by 13%

This feature, offered by MSI via BIOS, increases the TDP (Thermal Design Power) limit of the processors of the users from 65W to 105W. Normally running at 65W TDP, the processors in question can reach higher clock speeds by increasing the power limit. This provides up to a 13% increase in overall system performance. However, it is important to note that this feature is limited to Ryzen 9000 series processors only.

According to initial tests, processors can run much faster when the new mode is enabled. This performance increase is noticeable, especially in heavy workloads or games. However, it should be noted that there may be an increase in energy consumption and
processor temperatures with the use of this mode . Therefore, it is important for those who are considering using this feature to check whether their system cooling is capable of handling this increase.

If you are using a Ryzen 9000 series processor and want to increase your performance, you should definitely consider this new BIOS update from MSI. What do you think? Are you planning to try this update? You can share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
