Elon Musk has denied a report about xAI and Tesla published in the Wall Street Journal. Allegedly, xAI would license its AI technology to Tesla in exchange for a share of the company’s autonomous driving revenues. However, Musk said there was no such work.

According to the WSJ report, Tesla would use xAI’s artificial intelligence models to strengthen its driver assistance and fully autonomous driving software. In return, xAI would receive a portion of the revenue generated from Tesla’s autonomous driving capabilities.

xAI executives were said to be negotiating to profit from Tesla’s fully autonomous driving system, known as FSD. The deal would also allegedly be expanded to include a voice assistant and Tesla’s humanoid robot Optimus.

Amazon Prime Gaming will offer more than 20 games for free this month. Here are the details.

However, Musk said in a statement, “Tesla has learned a lot from its conversations with xAI engineers that help speed up getting to FSD, but there is no need to get any license from xAI.” He added that the WSJ report was not accurate.

Musk has previously acknowledged that xAI and Tesla could work together for autonomous driving efforts. However, a revenue-sharing partnership was denied. The deal had caused concern because Musk was CEO of both companies.

On the other hand, Musk, who shared about the xAI platform, said, “Grok has real-time access to information through the X platform, and this provides a huge advantage over other models. It is also essential and loves sarcasm.”
