Elon Musk accelerated his work in the field of artificial intelligence and spoke about the Grok 2 and Grok 3 models. The artificial intelligence assistant developed by xAI will be much smarter with its future versions to be released in 2024.
Grok 2 will be released in August, Grok 3 before the end of the year
Elon Musk commented on a post stating that other language models are often compared to OpenAI’s GPT model. He said that Grok 2 will represent a “giant leap forward” in education. In this context, he said that Grok 2 will be released in August this year.
It is not known what exactly Grok 2 will do differently in response to Elon Musk’s ambitious announcement. But the emphasis on training data suggests that the new version may improve accuracy. Previously, GPT and other artificial intelligence models have been criticized for inaccurate information.
Musk also announced that Grok 3, which will be an even more advanced version, will be ready before the end of the year. In particular, he said that Grok 3 will be trained with 100 thousand Nvidia H100 GPUs and will have more computing power than other models.
Grok 1.5 is currently available to X Premium+ subscribers. The version released in March attracted attention with its advanced reasoning capabilities. However, it lagged behind its direct competitor in mathematical and visual computation.
The training data of Grok 2 and Grok 3 is thought to include the huge X pool. The platform, which combines many topics from football to politics, is a very important resource for artificial intelligence.
