Scientists, using NASA’s Curiosity rover, conducted a new investigation on the surface of Mars. The spacecraft recently discovered enigmatic hexagonal shapes on the Red Planet’s surface. Experts have expressed that these hexagons could be among the most significant indicators of potential life on Mars.

The recent image that excited the scientific community was of an object encountered on the surface of Mars, resembling a dragon bone.

Although Mars’ surface is dry and cold today, there is considerable evidence suggesting that it was once submerged under water. The aforementioned hexagonal pattern serves as further evidence of this. William Rapin and his team, researchers at the French National Center for Scientific Research, provided an explanation regarding this image.

In their statement, they said, ‘For the first time, we now have traces of time periods suitable for the emergence of life.’ Furthermore, they explained the origin of the hexagon, stating, ‘When the lake dried up, the soil cracked, and when the reservoir refilled, the cracks closed. When this process repeated many times, the cracks formed intricate shapes.’

Furthermore, Rappin mentioned that they had previously observed mud cracks. However, they stated that these cracks typically have intersections in a T-shaped manner. They indicated that this would occur once the mud dries and fossilizes in that state.
