NASA astronauts’ tool bag lost in space

Ana sayfa / Technology

Two NASA astronauts performed a spacewalk to perform maintenance on the outside of the International Space Station. But during the maintenance, they accidentally let a toolbox slip out of their hands. This means that a new object has joined the list of objects traveling in the Earth’s atmosphere.

A NASA crew lock bag slipped from the hands of two astronauts, Jasmin Moghbeli and Loral O’Hara, who were working outside the ISS. The stray bag, which is currently hovering about 500 kilometers above the Earth, can be seen through a pair of binoculars.

According to astronomers, anyone who looks at a dark sky with a small telescope or good binoculars can see this bag. Experts predict that the bag will enter the atmosphere in the coming weeks and disintegrate at an altitude of 100 km.

The European Space Agency signed an agreement with Airbus and Voyager Space!

To strengthen its place in space, ESA has reached an agreement with Airbus and Voyager Space for Starlab, which wants to replace the International Space Station.

With this toolkit, astronomers also drew attention to the space junk orbiting our planet. NASA, which entered the toolbox into its orbital database, underlined that hundreds of pieces of space debris are roaming the skies unattended.

Although it is strange that the toolbox was lost in space, this is not the first time such an accident has happened. However, you don’t have much time to examine this object in the sky as it will disintegrate after a while.

On the other hand, NASA came up with a news that will be of interest to those interested in space. The agency launched a video streaming channel on Wednesday, November 8. The new platform, called “NASA+”, offers live content from around the world.
