Netflix Games Limited Beta Test in Canada and the UK
Since 2021, Netflix has been improving its Games section to offer a great gaming experience for subscribers. While the games are available only on mobile devices, the streaming platform is now bringing the Games to other platforms. Netflix launched a limited beta test to a small number of members in Canada and the UK on select TVs, PCs, and Macs.
If you are a beta tester in Canada and the UK, you can now experience Netflix Games on your TVs right now, but you need to wait for a few weeks to test it on PCs and Macs. You can play Games on your PCs through Netflix.com on supported browsers. However, you should download Netflix’s new Game Controller on your phones to play games on your TVs.
Netflix explains, “Two games will be part of this initial test: Oxenfree from Night School Studio, a Netflix Game Studio, and Molehew’s Mining Adventure, a gem-mining arcade game. To play our games on TV, we’re introducing a controller that we already have in our hands most of the day — our phones. Members on PCs and Macs can play on Netflix.com with a keyboard and mouse.”
This early testing phase aims to assess our game streaming tech and controller while enhancing the user experience. Supported devices include Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast with Google TV, LG TVs, Nvidia Shield TV, Roku devices, Samsung Smart TVs, and Walmart ONN. More devices will be added later.
