Netflix released an Apple TV update: Here’s what’s new

Ana sayfa / News

Netflix has begun rolling out its new interface design for the Apple TV app. The changes introduced with version 3.0 of the app only work on tvOS 17 and above. The company has been gradually rolling out the new design to users since its announcement in May.

The redesigned interface completely removes the left sidebar of the previous version, moving to a more centralized top menu system. This menu includes search, home, TV shows, movies, games, and “My Netflix.”

The previously separate “My List” and “My Netflix” sections have been combined into a single platform to simplify access to personal content. The content presentation on the homepage has also been revamped. Large boxes displaying release dates and descriptions for each title allow users to quickly decide what they want to watch.

The new design isn’t limited to just visual changes. Netflix has updated its recommendation system to make it more personalized. Content recommendations, based on users’ viewing history, are now more responsive. Recommendations are reportedly more tailored to viewers’ current moods and interests.

The app has also introduced labels that provide more context for recommended content. Phrases like “Newly Added” or “#3 in Movies Today” make it clearer why content is being recommended. This new label system aims to provide users with more information when selecting content.

This update to Netflix’s Apple TV app is noteworthy as part of the platform’s efforts to simplify content accessibility and enhance the user experience.
