Netflix TV’s interface is changing!

Ana sayfa / News

Netflix is preparing to redesign its TV app. The company, which wants to offer a refreshed home page experience, especially the navigation bar, will go through a comprehensive reorganization. The streaming giant is testing changes that aim to make content names and descriptions more prominent.

According to sources, Netflix will consolidate all information about a piece of content with the new design. It will show the consolidated content in pop-up boxes when users hover over it on the remote. When viewers pause a movie or series for a few seconds, trailers will start automatically.

Some important existing elements also appear to be being removed. The categories menu on the left will be removed entirely. In its place, Netflix will use the Home, Shows and Movies tab, accessible via the back button. The search icon in this menu will allow you to search for content and browse different genres.

In addition, the “My Netflix” center, which was launched on mobile devices last year, is expected to be available on the TV app. This will summarize a user’s viewing history and progress on shows/movies.

Pat Flemming, Senior Director of Product Innovation at Netflix, said these changes to the TV app are aimed at reducing eye strain. “We wanted subscribers to more easily understand whether a title was right for them,” he said in a statement.

Netflix is testing the revamped homepage in beta with select subscribers for now. If positive feedback is received, a wider rollout will take place in the coming months.
