Netflix has updated the interface on its iPhone app, which has not seen changes for a very long time. The new interface looks more fluid and impressive. The new interface prepared for Netflix for iPhone does not bring a completely radical change. But of course, there are noteworthy innovations.

Netflix’s new interface on the iPhone app has easier navigation

For example, the content shown at the top when the application is opened is now placed in a “card design”, which is animated using data from the phone’s accelerometer. This process works based on you moving the phone. In this way, the company has switched to a three-dimensional structure. Also, has focused on easier navigation with swipe gestures in the new interface. You can exit an opened content by swiping downwards. In the new version, all scrolling gestures work quite smoothly in general. Equipped with many new animations, including the profile change process, the application enters 2023 in a good way.

According to former Netflix UI designer Janum Trivedi, this new design started to be developed in 2022. Janum Trivedi is now working on the new interface of the Netflix app. “This last year, I’ve been leading a UI refresh to make Netflix feel more fluid, delightful, and polished. Today, all that work shipped!” Trivedi said on Twitter and shared the video for the new interface.

The company had previously come to the agenda with an explanation for the ad-based package. Jeremi Gorman, the company’s chief advertising officer, said at an event that they were “pleased with the growth of the ad-supported bundle so far.”

As it was revealed last month, in October, 40 percent of total Netflix subscribers had a basic plan, 31 percent had a standard plan, and 29 percent had a premium plan. In November, 41 percent of subscribers had a basic plan, 24 percent had a standard plan and 25 percent had a premium plan. The subscription package with ads, which was included in November’s statistics, only reached a user base of 9 percent.
