More details have emerged about Samsung’s highly anticipated affordable Galaxy A16. According to the leaked information, this model will be available in both 5G and 4G/LTE only options. While the Galaxy A16 will carry similar specs to its predecessor, the A15 series, it will come with a larger 6.7-inch display.
Samsung Galaxy A16: Comes with a 6.7-inch display and IP54 certification
The Samsung Galaxy A16 display is designed as a 90Hz FHD+ AMOLED. So much so that even in 2024, the drop notch design continues to be used. One of the biggest advantages of the new model is that the device has IP54 certification. So, we see that the phone will have a certain resistance to dust and water, a feature that was not available on the Galaxy A15 models.
Furthermore, the Galaxy A16 is expected to come with a triple rear camera system that includes a 50MP main camera, a 5MP wide angle and a 2MP depth sensor. The power source of the device will be a 5,000 mAh battery and will offer 25W fast charging support. However, there will be no charging adapter in the box.
The new model is expected to be launched in Europe at a price below 250 euros. The new Galaxy A16 series may waive the 3.5mm headphone jack, but the USB-C port will be standard. On the processor side, the device will feature a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor. This processor is rumored to be the MediaTek Helio G99.
