Nearly four years have passed since the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 in November 2020, and the quality of life in Night City has changed significantly. In the latest episode of the AnswerRed podcast, new details about the sequel, Cyberpunk: Orion, have emerged.

Initially plagued with numerous bugs and controversies, Cyberpunk 2077 has seen significant improvements over time, thanks to CD Projekt’s dedicated efforts, receiving positive feedback from players. Despite Night City still resembling a construction site, the development of the new sequel, Cyberpunk: Orion, has been ongoing. This project is being handled by CD Projekt Red North America, based in Boston.

In the recent AnswerRed podcast episode, executive producer Dan Hernberg and associate game director Paweł Sasko shared insights into how Night City was designed and built. They revealed that Night City was originally intended to be “much more American.” However, since the game is based on the works of American writer William Gibson, certain details in the city did not reflect the American style. For instance, some manhole covers resemble European ones rather than American, which contradicts the setting of California.

No one is working on Cyberpunk 2077 anymore

New data from CD Projekt Red has revealed that no developers are currently working on Cyberpunk 2077. Here are the details...

The developers promise that the sequel, Cyberpunk: Orion, will learn from the mistakes of the original game and offer a more impressive and error-free experience. By observing and creating the new project in a better environment, they aim to provide players with a more authentic experience.
