Microsoft has made a new arrangement for Windows 11 users. With the update coming to the 22H2 and 23H2 versions, the position of the widget panel on the left side of the Windows 11 taskbar has become changeable. With this new feature, when you align your taskbar to the left, the widget panel is automatically moved to the right side, that is, next to the system tray. So, how is it done?
Windows 11 Widget panel can now be moved to the right of the taskbar
To use this feature, you must first install the optional Windows 11 KB5041587 update. After installing the update, go to “Taskbar Settings” by long-pressing or right-clicking on any empty space on the taskbar. From here, you can open the “Taskbar Behaviors” option and change the alignment of your taskbar to “Left/Right.”
With this change, your widget panel on the Windows 11 taskbar will be moved to the right side. If you are not happy with this change and want to move the widget panel back to the left side, you will need to use a third-party tool called ViveTool. With this tool, you can disable the feature ID and return the panel to its original position.
Although the new feature may seem insignificant to some users, the fact that Windows 11 is more customizable can be convenient for many users. Especially for users with different screen layouts and work habits, placing the taskbar and widget panel as they want can increase work efficiency.
