Apple Intelligence in iOS 18
One of the standout features of iOS 18 will be Apple Intelligence, Apple’s foray into artificial intelligence technology. Following Samsung’s Galaxy AI advancements, Apple is incorporating AI into its devices under the name “Intelligence.” Here’s what to expect for the Phone app.
Call Recording
You’ll now be able to record calls. After initiating a call, you can start recording by using the notification on the screen and pressing the button on the left side. The recording will capture the entire call and be stored in the Notes app for later access.
Transcribe and Summarize Calls
Another notable feature is the ability to automatically transcribe and summarize recorded calls. After a call, you can access the recording in the Notes app and convert it into text, which can then be summarized.
Call History
iOS 18 will allow you to access your entire call history. You can search by phone number, contact, date, or other details to view all calls, including FaceTime calls.
SIM Switching and Suggested Calls
For users with dual SIM cards, iOS 18 will enable switching between SIM cards via the Control Center. Open Control Center, go to connection settings, and press Cellular Data to switch. Another new feature includes suggested calls. This allows you to find and quickly dial contacts using T9 input instead of direct numbers.
