New Garmin Fitness Tracker With GPS Vivosmart 6 Could Launch in Early 2026

After a long silence in its fitness band lineup, Garmin is finally gearing up to refresh the Vivosmart series. According to a string of new leaks and certifications, the upcoming device believed to be the Vivosmart 6 will include built-in GPS and support for more than 30 sports activities.

The last time Garmin updated its compact fitness band was with the Vivosmart 5, launched over three years ago. That model featured a modest monochrome OLED screen, up to 7 days of battery life, and basic health tracking all packed into a slim profile. Since then, Garmin has focused on smartwatches like the Fenix 8 Pro and niche accessories like the Index Sleep Monitor.

Now, attention is shifting back to the Vivosmart line, with multiple signs pointing to a new launch. Garmin’s Indonesian website briefly listed the Vivosmart 6, calling it a “stylish sports watch” built for both men and women.

DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Launch Delayed, But Teasers Could Drop This Month

DJI’s Osmo Pocket 4 is delayed to January 2026, with teasers expected by year’s end amid accessory-related setbacks.

The product description, although now removed, offered a few telling details:

Meanwhile, Garmin Sweden listed a placeholder for the Vivoactive 6, but referenced the Vivosmart 6 by name. On top of that, a fitness tracker with model number A04986 believed to be the Vivosmart 6 was recently certified by South Korea’s NRRA, indicating that development is nearly complete.

While Garmin hasn’t officially confirmed anything, the timing of these leaks suggests that a launch is likely in early 2026. Whether it arrives alongside the Vivoactive 6 or as a separate drop remains unclear, but the return of the Vivosmart line feels imminent.

For fans of slim, low-profile fitness trackers with more advanced features, the Vivosmart 6 could finally bridge the gap between bands and watches without forcing a switch to bulkier wearables.
