One of the most popular battle royale games in the world, PUBG, may have lost some of its momentum over the last couple of years, but it still enjoys a massive fan base. Especially on mobile platforms, this beloved game boasts an enormous player count, and its long-awaited sequel is finally on its way. However, this time, the concept is a bit different… Here are the details!
The name chosen for the new PUBG: Project ARC
PUBG Studios and Krafton have officially announced their new game titled Project ARC. Moving away from the battle royale style, this new game will offer players a 5v5 team-based top-down shooter experience.
Unlike other top-down shooter games, Project ARC will emphasize realistic shooting mechanics, target elevation, hit zones, and environmental interaction. Players will get to use familiar weapons and gear from the PUBG universe, while each character will have unique abilities and equipment.
The announced game modes for Project ARC include Team Deathmatch and Demolition. The Demolition mode is similar to popular games like Valorant or Spectre Divide, but instead of a bomb, players will use a device called the ‘Decrypter’ to hack and achieve victory.
Items like the iconic blue zone bomb and deployable shield from the PUBG universe will also be featured in this game. These elements help reinforce the game’s connection to the PUBG universe, offering players a familiar experience with a new twist.
Krafton has entrusted the Project ARC development to a small but experienced team. Developed by a team of just 15 people, this game promises a fresh and rapid development approach. The studio aims to expand the series with this new game, offering players a different kind of PUBG experience.
What do you think about this new PUBG game? Can Project ARC, with its different style, bring new excitement to the PUBG universe? We look forward to your comments!
