The Resident Evil franchise has gained a lot of attention in recent years as Capcom has revitalized its old games. Following the Resident Evil 4 remake released in 2023, remakes of 2000’s CODE: Veronica and 2002’s Resident Evil Zero remakes are reportedly in the works.

Resident Evil fans have been waiting for a remake of CODE: Veronica remake. Released in 2000 for the Sega Dreamcast, the game follows the adventures of Claire Redfield, the main character of RE2. CODE: Veronica is seen by many fans as a true sequel to the second game in the series. The game was re-released in 2011 in a remastered version for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Resident Evil Zero takes place before the original Resident Evil and follows STARS member Rebecca Chambers. The game contains story elements that tie directly into the events taking place in the Spencer Mansion. However, the game divides RE fans, as some consider it the most boring game in the series.

Resident Evil fans have also rumored remakes of other games in the series. Due to Resident Evil 5’s controversial history and issues, Capcom is not expected to remake the game.

New era for the FIFA Series: 2K could be the developer!

As you know, EA did not renew FIFA and continued the series under the name FC. The FIFA name may now be developed by 2K!

Likewise, while RE6 has mechanical issues, RE5’s character and story issues have deeper roots. Therefore, it’s unlikely that Capcom will focus on CODE: Veronica and Zero makes strategic sense.

The new remakes of the Resident Evil series will be a great source of excitement for both old players with nostalgic memories and newcomers to the series. What do you think? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
