Information continues to come for the upcoming iPhone 15 family to be launched in September 2023. The series will consist of 4 models. 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max or, more likely, 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Ultra. It’s not yet clear which models will have it, but the phones will use a newly developed Sony camera sensor on the back, which is referred to as “state-of-the-art”.

iPhone 15 series could see a camera boost with Sony touch

This camera sensor seems to be more exclusive to the Pro and Ultra. The camera sensor is said to double the color saturation signal in each pixel compared to standard sensors. Thus the sensor will be able to capture more light. In addition, it is also reported to reduce underexposure and overexposure problems.

The sensor, which will become more technically detailed later, will basically improve low-light performance. In other words, it will offer more balanced results than ever before. In this way, shadows will not remain dark and there will be no explosion in bright areas. According to Nikkei, the sensor will allow portrait photos to be taken even in strong backlight situations, with the face properly illuminated.

Some design details for the models had recently come to the agenda too. Again according to a source, rounded edges can be used on the back corners of the iPhone 15 series. This design detail is not yet 100 percent certain, but the currently preferred flat corner structures of the phones may turn into the following in the new year.

Moreover, the source who provided the above information also claims that Apple will use titanium in the new phones. Titanium, which will replace aluminum, will most likely be exclusive to the high-end versions of 15 Pro and 15 Ultra models. Thanks to titanium, phones can become lighter and more solid.
