Here is the refreshed new Volkswagen Touareg!
Has it really changed that much? Here is the refreshed new Volkswagen Touareg! The Volkswagen Touareg made its debut between 2002 and 2007. Then the model returned to dealerships in 2018 with a new version. However, the automotive industry has made significant progress in the past 5 years. We can say that the Touareg has aged during this period. But after yesterday’s unveiling, a younger and more dynamic Touareg greeted us.
When we look at the design details of the model, we should note that the dimensions are almost the same as the previous model. The Touareg, which is inspired by American SUV models, is still quite long and wide. When we look at the updated front grille, we see the illuminated Volkswagen logo. At the rear of the model, we see a single-piece taillight design. In addition, the Touareg features newly illuminated Volkswagen logos.
In the new Touareg, we see a different variant of the U-shaped LED headlight design that we often see in Volkswagen Golf models. The brand has used the L-shaped LED headlight design in the new Touareg. We are already familiar with these headlights from another member of the VW Group, Porsche. The LED headlight system consisting of 19,216 micro LEDs used in the Porsche Cayenne model has been integrated into the new Touareg. Additionally, the updated front bumper has taken inspiration from the sporty front bumper design of the Golf 8.
The “Innovision Cockpit” design that entered our lives with the previous Touareg model has also been updated and takes its place with its new design. As it is known, for the first time in the Volkswagen family, the design with a fully covered cockpit was used in the Touareg. The brand continues to maintain this design in the Touareg model.
The size of the screen is truly befitting the grandeur of the vehicle. The 12-inch giant digital instrument panel and the 15-inch multimedia system work together in an integrated manner. Additionally, these screens come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
The Touareg comes with 19 or 21-inch wheel options as standard equipment, but if you purchase it with the R or R-Line package, you will be greeted by 22-inch wheels. The model will continue to be sold with its classic V6 engines.
In addition to the 3.0-liter V6 TDI engines available for sale with the Touareg, an eHybrid engine option will also be added. It is expected that the vehicle will produce 375 horsepower with the addition of an electric motor to the 3.0-liter engine unit.
