NFC Technology, promising contactless experience!

Ana sayfa / News

We often use the NFC feature in our daily lives, sometimes to register our cards on our phones, sometimes to make payments. This feature, which is now present in almost all smartphones today, can certainly be further developed. This is because people sometimes encounter various issues when using NFC. That is precisely the purpose of the NFC Forum. The news is good: NFC technology will be enhanced!

The roadmap is drawn: NFC will be improved!

The NFC Forum aims to make the technology truly contactless. As the first step, they have released a roadmap until 2028 that will bring wireless charging to our smallest devices, enable payments everywhere, and provide even more. Soon, touch-and-pay services may not require the touch part to function!

The reason behind this is that NFC, the technology that allows us to make payments by simply touching our phones to a payment terminal in stores, is gaining new capabilities such as increasing the communication range and stronger wireless charging for small devices within the next two to five years. NFC, which stands for Near Field Communication, is making significant advancements according to the roadmap outlined until 2028.

The fastest Android flagship has been revealed

AnTuTu announced the ten fastest Android phones for May. So how did which phone perform last month? Here are the details.

Now, the NFC Forum, the organization that decides how the technology will be standardized, is outlining the key areas that will propel NFC technology forward until 2028. This forum consists of hundreds of companies, including Apple, Google, Huawei, Sony, NXP, and Qualcomm.

Undoubtedly, one of the major drawbacks of NFC technology is its incredibly short range. For a successful NFC connection, the devices need to be within 5 mm of each other. The NFC Forum aims to increase this range “four to six times,” bringing it up to approximately 30 mm. The added range is expected to make payments much more convenient in places like public transportation. The NFC Forum will present its development roadmap in a public webinar on June 27.
