Nintendo, one of the most popular console manufacturers in the world along with Sony and Microsoft, is likely to upset gamers with its new decision. Nintendo has officially announced that it will no longer provide repair services for 3DS and WiiU consoles as of today. Here are the details…

Nintendo WiiU and 3DS consoles are becoming history!

According to an announcement on Nintendo’s Japanese support site, the company has ended repair services for the Nintendo 3DS (KTR-001) model. This decision appears to be a follow-up to the announcement made in February, when Nintendo announced that it would stop repair services for the 2DS, New 3DS, and New 3DS LL (XL model in Japan) when spare parts stocks ran out.

For now, customers in Japan are still able to get repairs from Nintendo for the New 3DS LL, 2DS and New 2DS LL systems, but time is running out for those models as well. Nintendo’s move comes shortly after it announced two months ago that it was out of stock of spare parts for the Wii U and its peripherals.

These developments are seen as a clear indication that the pre-Nintendo Switch era is over. With the Wii U and 3DS online servers shutting down in April, online modes for games like Xenoblade Chronicles X, Splatoon 1, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf are now unplayable.

Nintendo’s decision is seen as an inevitable step in today’s gaming world, where technology is rapidly advancing and old systems are being replaced by new ones. These consoles, which represent an important period in gaming history, are now likely to become the center of attention for collectors and retro game enthusiasts…
