In the automotive world, we’re used to seeing vehicles with different concepts. While autonomous or hybrid technologies have become commonplace, we know that manufacturers want to create more personal experiences. Ahead of the Tokyo Motor Show 2023, Nissan unveiled its Hyper Tourer concept electric vehicle.

The Hyper Tourer concept forms part of Nissan’s series of four electric concept cars. It follows the previously introduced Hyper Urban and Hyper Adventure SUV concepts. Its most important feature is its advanced artificial intelligence, making it a digital assistant for users.
The new Hyper series offers a glimpse of how Nissan will approach electric cars in the future. The company plans to physically show the Hyper Tourer at the Tokyo Motor Show 2023, and shared some intriguing details ahead of the event.
Nissan has designed the Hyper Tourer as low as possible to ensure optimum handling and battery efficiency. The concept car also has autonomous driving features that allow the front seats, including the driver’s seat, to rotate 360 degrees.
Passengers can control functions such as navigation and audio through a “wearable display”. But more importantly, its advanced artificial intelligence can monitor passengers’ heart rate, breathing, sweating and brain waves.
By tracking this data, the system adjusts lighting, music and other tools to suit each passenger, depending on the stress situation.
In addition to its autonomous driving function, the Hyper Tourer also features Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X). This means the battery can power homes, offices or shops. More information will be shared at the Tokyo Motor Show.
