Melting issues continue for NVIDIA RTX 4090

NVIDIA has upgraded the power interface specification to 12VHPWR 2.0 on new cards. The store said that on average, it receives close to 200 melted RTX 4090s every month for repair or replacement. He reported seeing many RTX 4090s using the 12VHPWR connection.
The contacts on the 12VHPWR interface are said to be insufficient. This causes the graphics card to overload and the connector to melt after powering up. The plastic around the pins is known to melt and damage the RTX 4090.
NVIDIA has some interesting suggestions for some users. They stated that they should check the connection of the power connector on the graphics card and that the way it is used can lead to melting. Melting is more likely to occur on cards that are heavily used.
NVIDIA said it had addressed the melting issue with the next-generation RTX 4090s. However, complaints indicate that many first-generation models continue to melt.
